Intellectual Property Office speaks to students
February 15, 2011
The guest lecture series for the BA Business Enterprise course continued last week with a highly educational lecture on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) from Dave Hopkins, Event Manager for the Intellectual Property Office.

Dave Hopkins, who has for worked for the Intellectual Property Office for 15 years, is primarily responsible for raising awareness of intellectual property amongst UK businesses, with special emphasis on small-medium enterprises (SMEs).
His visit was a welcome addition to the students’ timetable, as he came to speak to students who are currently looking at economic, organisational and strategic issues regarding the development of new innovations as part of their studies in innovation management.
The Glamorgan Business School aims to provide students with an integrated learning experience to equip them with the appropriate knowledge and skills for today’s business world. And the recent visit from the Intellectual Property Office, who is responsible for implementing the national framework governing intellectual property rights, demonstrates the University’s commitment to each student’s learning experience.
